There is a village store, a Spar with an ATM and a chemist and post office combined as well as a local bakery. (large supermarkets and chain stores can found in Carmarthen 10 miles away)

Bird Watching at Ginst Point, Pendine & Taf Estuary, LLaugharne
  • Ginst Point is used for weapons testing so acccess is limited. Phone to avoid disappointment.01944 452310. The largest concentration of birds can be seen on a sand spit at the point. Extensive scrub attracts finches and other passerines. Inland is used by large flocks of golden plovers and lapwings.
  • The beautiful Taf estuary at Laugharne famous for its once thriving cockle industry is a mecca for bird watchers, walkers, artists, writers, poets and painters.
