Laugharne is an ancient township with some fine Georgian houses, ruined 12th century Castle, 13th century Church, small shops, village store, Spar with an ATM, chemist & post office combined, an antique book shop, glass works and pottery, a silversmith, tea rooms and a fish and chip shop.

Ginst Point is used for weapons testing and so access is limited . Weekends are usually free. Phone ahead to avoid disappointment 01944 452310. The largest concentration of birds can be seen on a sand pit at the point. Extensive scrub attracts finches and other passerines and the inland areas attract large flocks of golden plover and lapwings.
