The Iron Works was the cutting edge technology of its time in the 18th C now one of the best preserved ironworks in Europe.

  • National Roman Legion Museum
  • This fascinating museum in Caerleon is on the site of what once was a Roman fortress built in AD 75 . The museum has exhibitions and artifacts, Roman remains and a Roman garden. There are interactive displays and dressing up opportunities for children also a reconsructed barrack room to explore.

  • Wye Valley Walk
  • It is possible to walk a selected part of this beautiful 136 mile trail. Do remember your camera the views are wonderful.
